A thank you after 40 years of SKK Montana and Montana Open Cup 2026

Two weeks after the club's 40th anniversary and the Montana Open Cup 2026 tournament, Shihan Petko Enchevski thanks everyone who honoured the events.

Dear friends,

Two weeks have passed since we marked 40 years of Sports Karate Club Montana and held the open tournament Montana Open Cup 2026 for the occasion.

We had promised that every tournament we hold would be better and at a higher level than the last. We certainly kept that promise. Despite every difficulty, and judging by what our guests and spectators said and by the responses of all of you, the tournament ran with faultless organisation, fair judging and in a fine warm atmosphere.

On the evening of the Sayonara, where the anniversary of the club was marked, the atmosphere was even more extraordinary. It is hard to set down all the warm words of the hundreds of friends and students of Sports Karate Club Montana, some of whom flew across the ocean especially for the event, in which they gave voice to their feelings, their emotion and their gratitude at being part of this great family.

I find it just as hard to put into words my own gratitude to everyone who honoured the gathering. We thank all of you, as Budo commands, even those who trained with us only once, for having helped us by their effort to keep walking this hard and often thankless but certainly meaningful road, along which what is built is not material but of an incomparably higher worth.

A deep bow. Osu!
