On 27–28 June 2026, the Kyokushin-kan Open European Championship 2026 was held in Burgas, Bulgaria, bringing together some of Europe's strongest competitors.
Sports Karate Club – Montana delivered an outstanding performance with six athletes, demonstrating exceptional preparation, fighting spirit, and unwavering determination.
The highlight of the championship was the club's remarkable achievement of winning three European championship titles. Marin Enchevski, Mariyan Katsarov, and Aleksandar Boykov proudly claimed the gold medals, becoming European Champions and bringing honour to both their club and Bulgaria.
Kaloyan Nikolaev and Anton Rangelov also performed admirably, displaying courage, determination, and excellent skills against strong international opponents. Andrea Marinova added to the team's success by earning a bronze medal in her division.
