On 18 March 2017 the 5th Balkan Kyokushinkai Karate Championship was held in Bucharest, Romania. About 200 competitors from 6 Balkan countries took part: Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Greece, Turkey and Montenegro. In the open division for juniors under 18, Bulgaria was represented by Marin Enchevski of Sports Karate Club Montana. After 3 emphatic wins by ippon our competitor took the Balkan title. Let us congratulate him and wish him success in a busy calendar for the rest of the year.
The Bulgarian national team took 9 titles in all and stands first on medals among all the Balkan countries.
